Planter in the bottom left corner of the photo contains standing water and is not draining properly. Needs to be emptied and unplugged so that water can drain from the planter.
As you are heading east / southeast on Fountain Drive, at the intersection with N. Adams Street, when you look north on Adams to check for traffic, there is a lot of tree foliage impeding the view. It is very difficult to see traffic until you are pretty far into the Adams street intersection.
The overgrowth at 913 W. 11th St is obscuring the view for drivers turning from Orris Dr to W. 11th Street t the point where a driver has to pull the nose of his/her car all the way out onto 11th St to see if the way is clear. Obviously, this could cause accidents with other cars, school busses going to/from Tri-North, or pedestrians crossing on the sidewalk.
I live between Kenwood Dr. and 16th Street where it intersects with Madison Avenue. Kenwood Dr. and 16th street are both very small, and I have a couple of reasons to think that they should be made one ways. I have had multiple times where I have been trying to turn into Kenwood Dr. from Madison, and had a car blocking my way because they were coming out that way. Similarly, I have not been able to get into my parking lot on 16th street because of someone coming from Madison as I was coming in from Woodburn Avenue. It would really help the flow of traffic if there were one way signs, and clearer street signs in this area, and prevent traffic blocks on these small roads. On Kenwood drive, there is an apartment complex with diagonal parking, facing east. I have noticed that the car on the end has a lot of dings, from people turning into their car. I think this is happening because of the fact that when another car is blocking your way, you have to make a wide turn into Kenwood Dr. and then the person's car is in the crossfire. I hope this is clear enough evidence and that it will be taken into consideration.
Requesting road improvements to North smith or Morningside deterrent. Traffic at end of business day constantly goes through Morningside lots and quickly due to smith backup.
I reported this previously and I received a response that all signs are clearly marked (apparently not). The signs indicating "One Way" on the corner of E 6th and Grant, and for that matter, at any intersection on E 6th Street, are not sufficient. There need to be *large* signs indicating DO NOT ENTER to vehicles attempting to turn left onto E 6th from two-way roads that run perpendicular (i.e. Grant, Lincoln). The current signage is not sufficient. Please fix this before a pedestrian or a driver is seriously injured.
As the city refuses to put a light at the entrance of Blue Ride and N. Walnut you need to lower the speed limit starting at the light at Cascades. When turning left out of the neighborhood it is somewhat blind, so you can often pull out and a car comes right up on you. The speed limit on Tapp from 37 is much lower with no business or a neighborhood.
Our street, North Fritz Drive, is receiving a significant amount of drive-through traffic of people trying to skip the busy traffic light at the Bypass. Myself, my wife and my 16 year old daughter have all been in multiple very close calls recently from drivers going between 35 and 45 miles per hour on a neighborhood street where the speed limit should be no more than 20 mph. We strongly suggest that speed bumps be placed on Fritz Drive asap. It is clear many drivers coming West on the Bypass are going North on Dunn St, into Matlock Heights, then flying down Fritz Drive to get to North Walnut. Please don't hesitate to contact myself, C. Dear city of Bloomington, Would it be possible to have some of the trees/bushes obstructing the view on S Walker Street trimmed? These are also growing over the sidewalk. The hedges of this property are overgrown and block access to the sidewalk. This is a chronic issue - please remedy with homeowner (it's a rental unit). Thanks!
