Hello. There is a problem with reckless driving in the Maple Heights neighborhood. I experience it on my daily walks on Fairview, 11th, Maple, 13th, Jackson, Rogers, etc... I see it and hear it throughout my day specifically on 13th street both west and east directions and Fairview both north and south directions. Frequently, it is a vehicle speeding north on Fairview, then turning east on 13th street. Then just a few minutes later the same car speeds in the reverse directions. Is this some sort of a methamphetamine pickup? I don't know. But it is regular, has been a regular occurrence, and I am tired of it. The worst regular occurrence are negligent, selfish motorists traveling at very high speeds from the east on 13th street heading west to Maple. I was taking in the recycling bin last night and could not believe the speed at which someone drove past me. This is not safe. There is a special needs adolescent in the neighborhood who sometimes dances around in the street. There are children that play and should have every right to play without cars traveling at high speeds past them. This is incredibly dangerous driving in a residential neighborhood and I would appreciate it if the police could enforce the traffic laws prior to their being property damage and/or personal injury. At 802 E. Hillside Dr, there is a abandoned white sedan. I believe it’s a 1990’s Honda Civic. It’s parked in the side yard as well. Visible from the road.

The tenants of 501 E 7th St and 310 N Dunn St have had daily parties, morning and evening, for several weeks now that involve twenty+ people and loud music audible inside other apartments. Several noise complaints have been made with police each time it occurs, yet police have never actually showed up and the parties continue. They are in violation of Bloomington’s noise ordinance each time, but seemingly the police department refuses to enforce it.

Dark blue Hyundai appeared in front of my house many weeks ago and has not moved. The vehicle has no license plate or anything indicating ownership and appears to be abandoned. It is unlocked and there are no personal items or registration inside to allow me to contact a potential owner.
