One of the Bradford pear trees damaged in the storm has a large branch -- at base probably 8-9" in diameter-- broken off and caught up on other branches about 20' up. I think a good wind will bring it down probably at least partially on the sidewalk. It's the middle of three Bradford pears on the east side of S Fess between 703 and 701. Could be the whole tree needs to be taken down? Thanks!
We have spoken to our neighbors numerous times about trimming their trees…now the entire Alley behind our house is blocked with fallen trees on power lines & branches on cars parked in our driveway.
We have cleaned the tops of the grates in front of our building but can not clean the culvert in the ditch, which is clogged with debris. We also have one grate that has erosion barrier under the grate which won't allow water to pass through as it is packed with mud. We were flooded in 2008. We were within a foot of it entering our building early last Saturday morning. Please send someone to address this issue before Friday. We can not survive another flood.

Hello - I am the homeowner at 102 South Waldron St. here in Bloomington. This past Friday my basement flooded an excessive amount (3 feet) due to water buildup on Waldron Street. This has happened 4 times over the past 6 years I have lived here because the water has nowhere to go due to the flat area at the bottom of Waldron Street. I am requesting a storm drain be installed on Waldron Street just North of my house and in front of 100 South Waldron Street. My neighbors basement has also been severely flooded over the years due to water buildup from the street - the homeowners name is Simon Ladd. We both have sub pumps in our basements (I actually have 2) and it still doesn’t solve the flooding issue. I have spoken to Mr. Ladd and we both agree the best solution is for the city to install a storm drain. My number is 812-369-0765. in the back end of our property we have a storm Storm pipe set up between me and my neighbor. This past weekend we had a storm where the pipe was pushing out alot of water causing it to cave in the ground and crowding the sides of the channel. It has been causing the sides to collapse and making the channel wider taking from the land. I placed some rocks to keep the storm water from damaging the channel last year. yet We will need to add some extra rocks to hold it in place since it can't withstand the pressure as shown in the attached image. The dump under the bridge entering/exiting The Switchyard park is absolutely a disgrace! Enforce the laws on the books! This town is in the middle of a homeless drug addiction plague. on a daily bases i'm seeing more and more people walking around the downtown area with suitcases all leaving or heading towards the shalom center. This needs to stop! Private citizens are having to take defensive measures (fencing around their business) in their own hands and money because this woke mayor is pandering to these lawless people that don't pay taxes. We are the ones paying the taxes it's time to represent the Bloomington tax payer.
