This specific incident involved a Lime scooter, but I urge you to please ban ALL motorized scooters from Bloomington. My family and I were just coming back from the airport yesterday when we saw a young woman collide head-first into a car in cross-traffic (without a helmet because of course, none of these scooters come with helmets) because her brake stopped working. This was no one's fault but the manufacturers'. But given how much they make, I'm doubtful much will come out of it if she were to take legal action. There have been so many accidents (some fatal, as you know) in so many cities, including ours, due to these companies dumping scooter after scooter onto seemingly every busy sidewalk, and it is completely within your control to ban them here--after all, Indianapolis did. I would like to know your reasons for allowing them to continue to be used in Bloomington when we know how dangerous they have and will continue to be, as long as they are on the streets.. Just how many more accidents must we see and hear about until something concrete is done?

Large-sized tree has fallen across LC trail, towards the south end. Has been there for a few months now. Is south of the construction/Winter Shelter. Near the concrete parking area, where there are also concrete blocks - this area is on the east side of the road.

Hello, I am looking to get some advice on how to trap a racoon that continues to come into our home. We have sealed off the cat doors several different times and it continues to come back. We have purchased a have-a-heart trap and used marshmallows, canned wet cat food, canned tuna, etc and it's not working. If there are other things that we could be trying please let me know. Are the angled parking spaces off of Brown Avenue owned by the city? Every day there is a black truck with an extended cab that sticks out into the street. It obstructs the view of vehicles turning left onto Brown Avenue and creates a road hazard by exceeding the parking lot space.

Light is out, makes it dangerous for walking

The light on Walnut heading north at 1st Street has been functioning differently for a while now than it used to. It used to be that when the crosswalk signal for northbound pedestrians hit zero the light turned yellow. Now, the light stays green for a long time after that. The light on 1st Street is red way too long. The traffic on Walnut has a green light and starts to back up at 2nd because the Walnut light at 2nd is red from the prior cycle still. Can someone look at this and see if that Walnut light at 1st can be fixed so it is not holding on green for so long?

Why do ureport complaints sometimes disappear? For example, 178022 and 178023 were put in yesterday but they are now unviewable. How can the public know what their statuses are? It cannot be due to content of the reports because a simple search in ureport for "occupancy" yields other reports, albeit the most recent is 7 years old now.
