Traffic Suggestions
398 West Dodds Street

Hello,
I have lived at 410 West Dodds Street, between Rogers and Madison since 2001. I'm very happy here and would like to stay in this neighborhood. My mom lives at 302 West Dodds. One thing that has always been a concern to me and my family on this street how fast people drive on it. For some reason they they use the area between the B-line crossing and Rogers to step hard on the gas. I've emailed with the Mayor a few times over the years about this and have called the police a few times. Police driving by more often a few times does not help. With the new businesses on this street and the increased foot traffic (that I'm happy about) safety is becoming even more of a concern. Finally, my suggestion: Will you please direct me to the process of applying for speed bumps on this street? It would be much safer. I guarantee that most people in my neighborhood would vote for it. Thanks for your time
Traffic Suggestions
201-297 West 3rd Street

Several months ago I almost had an accident while going west on 3rd St. and turning left on College. I did not see a car coming east on 3rd St. Last week I was going east on 3rd and was coming up from the overpass and I understood why I previously did not see the car I almost hit. The slope of the street and the plant pots obstruct seeing cars. You might consider removing the pots to allow for a better view in both directions.
Traffic Suggestions
125-145 South Adams Street
- Case Date:

Traveling west on Kirkwood, turning left onto Adams, there is a speed limit sign of 25 MPH. Continuing west on 3rd street, there are no other speed limit signs until you get in front of the Cozy Table restaurant. That sign is 35 MPH. There are signs going the other direction, indicating 35 MPH, all the way. Is this the way this street is supposed to be signed? By the way, in case no one noticed, the typical speed of traffic on west 3rd is about 45 MPH.
Debris Removal (Sand, General Street Debris)

Bike lanes under railroad overpass on N Walnut and N College are filled with debris and need to be swept.
Traffic Signals
401-499 West Patterson Drive
- Case Date:

Light at Rogers and Patterson/Grimes would skipped the Rogers green light heading into town at least 4 times this am in a row. Made me late to work, traffic was backed up to Rockport light. Inn general, the light displays for only 4 cars to go through in the morning- this is unacceptable as there is always traffic lined up.
Potholes, Other Street Repair
709 W 9th ST
- Case Date:
- 6/4/2014
At the intersection of W. 9th Street and N. Maple (NOT "709" as your locator insists) is a long crevice in the roadway, getting deeper by the day. It lies along the south side of the intersection. Many cars no longer stop at the stop sign; they just "run" over this trench so they won't get stuck. Although the area is not exactly a high-traffic one, it gets many children, families, pedestrians—and this trench is a dangerous situation.
Line of Sight
101-199 West 11th Street
- Case Date:
- 6/4/2014
Line of sight issue for vehicles turning north bound onto Walnut Street from 11th. Bushes in the parking lot make it impossible to see traffic on Walnut until you pull out past the pedestrian crosswalk.
Potholes, Other Street Repair
400-498 North Maple Street
- Case Date:
- 6/4/2014
By the stop sign at 9th and Maple, across the whole street of Maple there is a large chunk of road missing. It needs to be filled in, I drive over it every day as do lots of other people, as Maple is the only through street from Kirkwood to the park/the back way to 11th. (meaning there are no roundabouts.) Thank you!
Graffiti
108 East 2nd Street
- Case Date:

There is a traffic light control box on the northwest corner of this intersetion which has white graffiti on it. This box is dark brown. It might also be an above ground utility box used by AT&T for its Uverse service, I no way of knowing. All I know is that this defacement is right across from a prominent city park and needs to be addressed. Many of these boxes have artwork on each side that is visible. Could that be done with this box?
Excessive Growth
877-899 West 3rd Street

behind the house @ 305 S Euclid is an old overgrown tree stump. It is mostly disintegrated and held together by vines and poison ivy. I am highly allergic to the poison ivy. It is spreading into my yard and I cannot control it. Some of the stump fell into the alley and has been thrown up against my fence. Many of the vines have grown over onto my shrubs and I keep trying to clear my fence line, but it is impossible. I have requested the property management take care of this issue for more than two years to no avail. Can you help me to get them to clear it out?
