THERE IS A BLACK PLASTIC PIPE, THAT IS 4" IN DIAMETER, THAT COMES OUT INTO FITZGERALD'S BACKYARD THAT COMES FROM HIS NEIGHBOR'S PROPERTY TO THE NORTH. FITZGERALD DOES NOT FEEL THAT THIS IS APPROPRIATE SINCE THE PIPE CAUSES EXCESS WATER POOLING INTO HIS YARD AFTER HEAVY RAINFALLS.
Represents Rockport Hills N'hood Assn. Says sidewalks were promised in Rockport Hills and have not been provided. Developer was to provide sidewalks, streetlights and trees. None of it has been done.
Says promised traffic calming devices have not been installed. Were told they'd go in right away (6th St). Says City Landscaper told him no one discussed watering of greenery with him. Says City departments aren't coordinating and work isn't getting done.
Says the berm just south of Rockport Hills subdivision sign on west side of Rockport Road is not being maintained. Thinks this is the City's to take care of for grass, weeds.
Trash cans are not being taken in. People walking by use trash cans. Complaintant has contacted owner but nothing gets done about it. She is extremely upset about this & tired of looking at their trash cans all the time. Wondered if this apt. bldg. should have a dumpster.
Neighborhood was promised a standpipe (for detention pond?) ($89,000), cost was to be covered by Redevelopment per Doris Sims. No work on it yet, what is status?
Weeds on City property (detention pond at Hopewell Renewal project, Drainage ditches in 6th & Ritter area) need to be taken care of. Tim - Please let me know if this is Rosehill or Street. Julio
Sidewalk on Maple from 5th to 6th was recently replaced. While it needed to be replaced, this was a historic sidewalk as are many on the west side. Policy should be developed to preserve historic sidewalks in original condition when repairing/replacing.
She's at Walnut & Wylie. Why hasn't anything been done about Wylie Street in a month or more? She's losing business and Wylie Street residents are using her parking lot.
