In mid June there was heavy storm damage on my property. Insurance company involved. A utility pole had to be replaced, but there are still a lot of cables on my property: in my fence, hanging from my trees, in my yard south of the fenced in area. My understanding is that the cables are Comcast (according to AT&T). I have contacted Comcast multiple times and filed a complaint against them with the attorney general this afternoon. When Duke came to replace the utility pole they didn't remove all of the metal security cables. They also didn't fill in the area around the pole enough. There is a big hole next to the new pole. There are exposed wires on it as well. Basically, it looks like an electrical hazard and it has kept me from cleaning up the tree that fell, do yard work, spend time with my family & dog in the backyard due to potential danger. I know this isn't an issue with City of Bloomington to address, but if you could help or advise on how to expedite the cable cleanup and make sure the utility poles are secure, straight, and that all surrounding wires are high enough on the poles I would really appreciate it. I'm kind of at a loss as to who else I should contact to get this stuff taken care of. Thanks!

Due to the construction on East 19th street, I have not been able to get any mail for two weeks. This is a serious problem, considering I was also just robbed (as well as multiple other houses on my street) and I have a security system coming in the mail. There is a very obvious way to access N Washington Street that any navigation system reroutes you to, but none of the mail trucks have been going up that way. They could at least receive instructions to walk it up to the correct address from their delivery trucks, it’s a very big problem to not be able to receive mail and I’m a bit frustrated with the whole situation.

My street runs downhill from Dunn to Walnut. In our older neighborhood, there is no infrastructure to handle stormwater. So the drainage ditch in front of my house and 3 others is the only thing that keeps our street from being flooded completely in any significant rainfall. I maintain it by weeding and cleaning out leaves and litter, along with the culvert that goes under my driveway and can become totally blocked- despite the fact that the debris that blocks it runs down from every house uphill of me to Dunn St. I'm writing two request that this ditch be repaired, as it is full of holes and water is going under it, causing even faster deterioration. Although the ditch was installed by the prior owner and not by the city, it is doing the city's job here; it is handling stormwater and preventing street flooding. This ditch is a small and short-term patch on the major drainage issue in this neighborhood which needs to be addressed in a more comprehensive way soon. My basement, which never had more than a trickle of water for the 23 years I've lived here, regularly floods now. My uphill neighbors' eastern foundation wall collapsed in a rainstorm 2 years ago. Glendora runs like a river in any rainfall, and as you know, rainfalls are getting heavier and more frequent. I will take pictures to show that my ditch keeps one side dry so that the street doesn't flood all the way across. I would really appreciate some short-term help with patching and possibly putting a grate across the culvert, along with a response about a long-term solution. Bicycle parking is never good for the Saturday Farmer's Market, but today it was exceptionally problematic. When I first arrived I was able to lock my trike but when I had trouble accessing my lock and when I did get to it two helpful young men assisted by lifting my trike to free it from the pile. I am 75 years old. This was hard. My trike is ADA compliant but it is not compact. I don't take it into the market, but my walking ability is limited so don't tell me about the bike racks that are blocks away from the market. Please do better with bike parking convenient to the market
