Property is regularly overgrown with invasive, noxious plants such as tree of heaven. Parker management openly admits that they do not regularly mow or shovel sidewalks for their properties, and will only do so if they receive a complaint. We hope that HAND chooses to issue fines rather than warnings for this company's rentals. They know better, but just choose to disregard responsibility and decency.
Property is so overgrown with invasive, noxious plants along alley that a tree is now leaning and is in contact with electric service wires. Also, utility pole on SE corner of lot has vines growing up near the transformer and just a few feet away from high voltage distribution lines. Property owner has let the entire property degrade so that what was once a good example of 1890s architecture is now a hovel/shack that is an embarrassment for the entire neighborhood.
Sidewalk is completely blocked by overgrown bushes
In the past we have put in a complaint about the trees at mills pool. They need cut back. They hang way to low. Someone is going to put an eye out. Oh wait my son almost did. On July 15th my 12 year old son was walking on the sidewalk at the circle to go swimming. He turned his head and jammed a hanging tree branch into his left eye. His poor eye was red and draining and it hurt. We went to the dr the next day. He got some eye drops and they sent us to the eye dr. Had to wait till that wed. Unfortunately he can not swim for atleast a week. We have to get the open wound on his eye ball to heal up. I hope you take immediate action on this and keep on top of it from now on. This never should have happened. Those trees should never hang that low especially since we have put in a complaint on them before. Here is pictures of his poor little eye and the trees. there is a van blocking the whole alleyway behind my house
As has been reported before (#176415, #177627, #184577), the invasive plants on the NE corner of the property along Cottage Grove have grown out so far that they completely block the sidewalk.
We are wondering if the E/W stretch of concrete between 707 N. Lincoln and 711 N. Lincoln is an alley (public thoroughfare) or a driveway (private property). If the former, the resident/tenant at 707 has blocked passage through it with stones and a basketball court. We have assumed for a long time that this is actually an alley and would like to be able to walk down this stretch, but if it is indeed private property we would like that made clear so that we not trespass.
