Don't wait 7 days to respond to sidewalk snow removal complaints and then mark them "closed" when it's 54 degrees out and all the snow is melted. Cool how you can just not do your job if you wait until the snow is melted. Maybe we should stop plowing the streets too?
Additional request for street light. There have been multiple times where BPD has responded to fights and medical related issues at neighboring properties. At least 2x/month I am woken up late in the night by someone trying to open doors or windows. Last night someone slept on my closed-in front porch. Neighbors are also in support of a street light and have asked me to file this on their behalf as well. uR#199547 was most recent filed that I am aware of.
On 1/24/2025 and 9:15 AM on bus #0348, I observed the strong odor of and could see smoke-haze from deisel exhaust backing up into the public bus. I have spoken to Bloomington Transportation dispatch and customer service and was told that, "That is just part of the bus's regenerative re-uptake process." When they refused to take this matter seriously in the past, I contacted the EPA. The EPA shall be contacted again on this issue since neither the city nor bus company will take this matter seriously, which inevitably affects the city's rating with the EPA as a green-friendly city. No snow has been removed from sidewalk on southwest side of Patterson Drive between W. 2nd St. and W. Allen St. since the big snow storm 2 weeks ago.
Sounds like those people prefer library than the city shelter. Why?
I went to the county library down town, to my surprise to see so many people use it for winter protection. It’s nice to give them somewhere warm and be able to sleep, but it totally lose the purpose of a library. Luckily I took a mask at the entrance, the whole place is so unhealthy.
The alley behind our leasing office is very icy. Cars are almost running into the buildings when trying to get though the alley. Can we please have someone throw salt throughout the back alley, please? It is bad on all 4 entrance points for the alley. Thank you
