2.30.060 Industrial development commission--Establishment.

(a) Creation. There is created, pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-13, the Bloomington industrial development commission, which shall have all the powers and authority set out for such commissions in Indiana Code 36-7-13 and shall bear such duties and responsibilities as are therein set out. The Bloomington industrial development commission shall follow such rules and procedures as are now set out in Indiana Code 36-7-13, or as shall be added by future amendments to the Indiana Code.
(b) Appointments. The commission shall be composed of six members, including at least one representative of the city's government, at least one representative of the local industrial development committee, at least one representative of a local banking institution, at least one representative of a local utility company, and at least one representative of organized labor from the building trades. A member of the commission may represent more than one of the organizations enumerated. The mayor shall appoint all members. The members serve at the pleasure of the mayor. (Ord. 97-22 § 1, 1997)
