There is hereby created, as part of the executive branch of government under the control and supervision of the Board of Public Safety, a Bloomington Fire Department. Said Department shall be responsible for the fire protection of the City of Bloomington. The Fire Department shall be administered by the Fire Chief. (Ord. 83-6 § 2 (part), 1983).
