The Mayor is the Chief Executive and head of the Executive Branch. He or she shall faithfully perform the duties and responsibilities contained in Indiana Code 36-4-5 and other statutes of the State of Indiana. Departments, Boards, Commissions and Councils of the Executive Branch are established in subsequent provisions of this ordinance. (Ord. 83-6 § 2 (part), 1983).
