Chapter 2.04 COMMON COUNCIL
2.04.220 Standing committees--Meetings.
A committee shall meet on call of its chairperson or any two of its
members. Notice shall be communicated by the city clerk, who shall keep a record
of such notices. A majority of the membership of a committee shall constitute a
quorum, which shall be necessary to conduct the business of the committee. The
chairperson may act as secretary of the committee or the committee may appoint a
secretary, who shall keep a memorandum of the proceedings and the
recommendations made at the committee meeting. In committee meetings the rules
of debate shall be relaxed in order to encourage discussion but general
procedural decorum shall prevail. (Ord. 79-97 § 2 (part), 1979).
