Chapter 2.04 COMMON COUNCIL
2.04.060 Special meetings--Emergency meetings.
(a) Special meetings of the council may be held on call of the mayor, the
president or any three members of the council. It shall be the duty of the
president or the members calling the special session to notify the city clerk of
the meeting, its date, hour, and agenda. The city clerk shall, at least
forty-eight hours before the time set for the meeting, notify each member of the
council, either in person, by telephone, or by notice left at the member's place
of residence. Notice shall also be given at least forty-eight hours in advance
of the meeting to the news media and to the public as required by state
law.
(b) Emergency meetings may be held provided there is compliance with
the notice requirements of state law. (Ord. 83-15 § 1 (part),
1983).
